Xiaomi, as promised, has started selling the Redmi 13C and Redmi 13C 5G smartphones in India. Both the phones feature a 6.74-inch HD+ screen with 90Hz refresh rate. The Redmi 13C is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, like the Redmi 12C, while the 5G model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. They are equipped with up to 8GB of RAM, expandable up to 8GB.
The phone has a 50MP main camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, but a 10W power adapter comes in the box.
The Redmi 13C series comes with a dynamic Star Trail design for the 5G variant and Star Shine design for the base variant. Built on a 6-layer architecture, the bottom layer showcases 550,000 triangular gratings emitting diamond-like flashes, while the top layer consists of nearly 2,000 lines flashing at four angles, creating a dynamic, ever-changing design, the company said.

The Redmi 13C comes in Starshine Green and Stardust Black colors and is priced at Rs. 8,999 for the 4GB + 128GB version, Rs. 9,999 for the 6GB + 128GB version and 8GB + 256GB for Rs. 11,499.
The Redmi 13C 5G comes in Starlight Black, Startrail Silver and Startrail Green colors and is priced at Rs 10,999 for the 4GB + 128GB version, Rs 12,499 for the 6GB + 128GB version and 8GB + 256GB for Rs 14,499. This is a special starting price, the company stated.
The phones will be available from December 12 and December 16 respectively on Amazon.in, mi.com and Xiaomi retail stores.
